Tasting Notes
This wine has a dark, fire engine red appearance that glistens with a bright ruby color edge. The wine has a perception of sweetness which possibly is the result of the toasting of the new French oak barrels. Hints of raspberries and cherries on the nose but still dry on the palate. Amazing layers of cooked, dark berries like blueberry buckle on a cold, winter morning, with subtle hints of cocoa and spices. This wine has the backbone of Cabernet Sauvignon with the softness of a Cabernet Franc. Showing well now but can age for years.
