Our job as the winemakers and grape growers is to let the grapes and this phenomenal location for these vineyards express what the region offers us. The soils provides the vine its identity as to root and leaf growth. The sun exposure to the grapes gives the fruit its flavor components. This individuality creates characteristics unlike any other area of the world. The intense concentration of varietal fruit flavor of California and the inherent acidity of Bordeaux combine to give our wines great strength plus refined elegance. These elements all contribute to the extremely long-lived wines from this vineyard. Ultimately the telling is in the tasting.
